Our club was formed in 2007
The PNG CSC was first initiated in 2007 on Lihir Island,New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea. Formally the club was the Australian Goldfields CSC and was also the Fiji CSC previous to that.
The CSC is now based in the far reaches of Lihir Island PNG and has 7 members to date along with a growing number of international followers.
The CSC was set up for a number of Celtic Supporters based on the island for the purposes of watching our beloved Celtic on Setanta or via the internet and to promote the Glasgow Celtic from this remote part of the world to others who work on the island and around the world.
There are a large number of CSC set up around the world,however we believe that this is the most remote CSC in the world.Location is 940Km north west from the capital city Port Moresby,1000Km north east from the Solomon Islands.
The CSC is 3 degrees south of the equator and located in the famous "Ring of Fire" due to the active volcanos in the region.
